Behavioral Support

The Student Management Team works with staff, students and families to encourage a positive school climate.  The team works with those who are struggling with various challenges, both personally and academically. We use a Restorative Approach, in which the importance of relationships is recognized as key to a positive school community, and that when misbehavior occurs, it can strain those relationships.  We also work with members of the community to restore those relationships, encouraging them to recognize the impact of their behavior on others and to take ownership of their actions.

The team assists in facilitating the restoration of the relationships of those impacted and assigns consequences that are logically designed to promote behavioral change. Additionally, the team works with students and staff by providing proactive supports and resources through individual, small group and classroom work.
