Extended Learning Opportunities

The ELO (Extended Learning Opportunities) block is designed to provide students the opportunity to meet with staff members during a designated period of the school day.  All adults who work directly with students are available to schedule time with students during the ELO Block.  This opportunity in the day provides students time to make up missed work, extend their learning, deepen their understanding of a topic, receive assistance from teachers, and help them reach proficiency.  It allows students to practice study skills, conference with other students and adults, and meet with guidance counselors to explore future options, and learn about college and career preparation. It is also a time that can be used for enrichment, through independent studies, online coursework and SAT preparation.  The purpose of the ELO Block is to provide students the supports they need to meet graduation proficiencies and to extend their personalized learning.
