Harwood Union Grading System and Grade Point Average Calculation

A+ = 99 (98-100)/4.00            A = 95 (93-97)/4.00                A- = 91 (90-92)/3.67

B+ = 88 (87-89)/3.33              B = 85 (83-86)/3.00                B- = 81 (80-82)/2.67

C+ = 78 (77-79)/2.33              C = 75 (73-76)/2.00                C- = 71 (70-72)/1.67

D+ = 68 (67-69)/1.33              D = 65 (63-66)/1.00                D- = 61 (60-62)/0.67

F =  0-59/0.00      

                              

Latin Honor System

The Latin Honor System will be used to identify seniors who have achieved high cumulative academic achievement.

 

Class of 2017 Grade Point Average Thresholds

  • Summa cum laude = 4.00 or higher
  • Magna cum laude = 3.90 – 3.99
  • Cum laude = 3.75 – 3.89                  

 

Class of 2018 and beyond Grade Point Average Thresholds

  • Summa cum laude = 3.90 +
  • Magna cum laude = 3.78-3.89
  • Cum laude = 3.67-3.77
